Operations Training usually deals with the operation of equipment involved with the production process within an organization. Some production processes are fairly simple and require  a relatively short period of time for an individual to become proficient.  Others are extremely complex and require years of training and experience to become proficient. Some processes involve little chance of personal injury and low material cost, others involve high risk of injury and extreme material cost.

Operations Training typically involves analyzing work performed, developing/identifying training material, determining a method of delivery, developing an evaluation process, and publishing material.
